Job Description

General Hotel & Restaurant Supply is a family-owned company, (www.generalhotel.com) that has been in the Foodservice Industry for nearly 65 years. We are looking for motivated, creative, energetic and driven designers with CAD and Revit capabilities. This individual will assist in the design and development of commercial foodservice establishments (ie. restaurants, hotel, country clubs, resorts, etc…)

We are experiencing huge expansion and growth throughout our industry and are looking to hire talented individuals to keep up with the demand. We are looking to fill this position immediately!

Qualifications Include:

· AUTO CAD Proficient, Revit knowledgeable, MS Office
· Attention to details
· Willingness to learn
· Strong organizational skills

The perfect candidate will be able to:

Read plans and shop drawings and have an understanding of equipment specifications. This will include working with architectural drawings, foodservice layout drawings, mechanical, electrical and plumbing rough-in drawings as well as manufacturer’s shop drawings such as sheet metal, millwork, and exhaust hoods.

Be completely proficient with AutoCAD, Revit knowledge a plus.

Knowledge of design management:
1. Develop suitable layouts of equipment based on project, client and equipment requirements utilizing CAD software.
2. Coordinate and develop mechanical, electrical and plumbing rough-in drawings utilizing CAD software.
3. General knowledge of business software (i.e. word processing, spreadsheets, etc.).
4. Field survey projects relating to dimensions, photos and documentation of job site conditions.
5. Specifying of foodservice equipment.
6. Coordinate printing of materials including required plots, blue prints, booklet reproduction, etc…
7. Have or gain general knowledge of industry standards relating to foodservice (i.e. local codes; mechanical, electrical and plumbing codes, NSF standards, HACCP, etc.).
8. Reviewing manufacturers shop drawings.
9. Assist in maintaining data and libraries in server.
10. Assist in maintaining hard files and drawings files.

OUTSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE - Ft. Myers Territory

Job Description

General Hotel & Restaurant Supply, the premier foodservice equipment and supply leader in South Florida since 1955, is looking for experienced outside sales representatives. This position requires a highly self-motivated individual who has a proven consultative selling track record.

As we expand to meet market demands we will be adding sales representatives to assigned territories throughout South Florida & the Caribbean. You will be responsible for the development of new or existing accounts in market segments such as hotels, bars & restaurants, country clubs, schools, health-care, and catering.

You will receive the needed training and the support of our experienced and knowledgeable sales staff to grow your territory and support your entrepreneurial spirit.

2. Display and demonstrate products using samples and catalogs to emphasize features and benefits
3. Quote selling prices
4. Work conjointly with accounts receivable for collections on all accounts
5. Ensure proper service and follow-ups on all accounts
6. Maintain daily contact with internal departments, manager, customers, factory reps and other outside sources as required
7. Analyze and stay up-to-date on the current market, competitor sales and pricing
8. Possess a thorough working knowledge and understanding of the customer and company order cycle
9. Enhance ongoing relationships with clients through post-project meetings and follow up
10. Ensure that all presentations and selling ideas are made to all persons who have an influence on the purchase of the product
11. Develop and maintain an active prospect list
12. Ability to communicates and resolves complex ideas
13. Displays stronger than average energy levels; be a self- starter who is able to strive in situations where managing multiple, time-sensitive commitments without compromising the integrity of the company
14. Maintain call reports as expected by VP of Sales & Marketing; including but not limited to prospective new accounts, follow-ups completed, potential sales, discuss initiatives and progress in assigned territory
15. Attend and participate in Sales Meetings held Friday’s at 8:30 am by VP of Sales & Marketing
